Tami Kellar

Tami started her YMCA career in 2005 an Aquatic Director and Swim Coach for the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA in Albany, Oregon.  As a collegiate swimmer, Tami loves the water and is passionate about preventing drownings and keeping kids safe in and around the water.  During her time as an Aquatic Director Tami created some innovative new programs like a free learn to swim week for the entire Albany community, surf school and a water carnival.

In 2007, Tami was promoted to Senior Program Director and became responsible for the departments of membership, marketing, aquatics, health and fitness, sports and family programs.  In 2011 Tami left the YMCA to help her husband grow their volleyball business and to continue to give back to the community.  Tami returned to the YMCA in 2013 as the Senior Program Director and then Associate Executive Director where she was tasked with the responsibility of leading operations through the build, transition and  opening of a new YMCA.  The new Mid-Willamette Family YMCA opened November 30, 2015 and in just three months doubled in size for both membership and programs.

Seeking change and new opportunity, Tami accepted the CEO position at the Great Plains Family YMCA in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  Tami is married to her husband Dave and together they have three children (Ryan, Makenzie and Samantha).  Tami enjoys spending time with her family, participating in water sports, scrap-booking and traveling.
