Group Exercise classes are a great way to meet people, boost your motivation and add variety to your workouts. Members can drop in to free Group Exercise classes at any time—work your heart and lungs, improve muscle strength, hit the dance floor, or focus on health for mind and body. All fitness levels are welcome.
Classes are designed for all participants—all levels welcome.
We encourage that you wear clothing and shoes appropriate for all activities. Yoga mats, blocks, and straps will be provided for classes. Please bring bottled water to all cardio classes.
Below is a list of classes offered at our YMCA
Bootcamp: Get the most out of each rep. 45 minutes of resistance-strengthening exercise for men and women to help redefine your muscles using weights, balls and bands. Great for all fitness levels.
Classes Offered: MWF 5:15-6am
Raise the Bar: New name, same great choregraphed barbell class will strengthen your entire body and provide a great cardio workout. After the warm-up, you will complete a 60 minute workout focusing on all major muscle groups. It’s total body workout and it’s fun too.
Classes Offered: MWF 9:30-10:30am
Extreme HIIT Chaos: Extreme HIIT Chaos design is grounded in the current science of HIIT and the best practices of the industry. We will go through various ratios of high-intensity work followed by periods of rest. Extreme HIIT Chaos allows you to choose from various creatives (alternate) moves that best fits your fitness level and intensity.
Classes Offered: M 12:00-12:45pm & W 5:45-6:45pm
TRX: TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete the exercises.
Classes Offered: TTH 5:45-6:45pm
Sliver Sneakers: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and flexibility. This class will improve your ability to navigate daily living activities.
Classes Offered: TTH 9:15-10am
Spin: Like bike riding? This is a great cardio workout for beginners to advanced riders. Come ride through flatlands and hills while listening to all types of music. Stationary bikes are provided for all participants.
Classes Offered: TTH 6-6:45am & TTH 6:30-7:30pm
Zumba Gold: This class recreates the original Zumba® moves you love at a slower intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
Classes Offered: TTH 8:15-9am
Yoga: Yoga is a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and relaxation. Yoga promotes alignment, focus, and increased sense of self. Yoga poses stretch and tone your muscles, increase your range of motion and will promote flexibility.
Classes Offered: MWF 8:15-9am
H.E.A.T: This hour long class is an extensive muscle building and core sculpting class that promotes anabolic training. This class will push your whole body to the limits while the heat detoxifies you. If you’re looking for a class that will build you naturally, tighten your core or just give you and all around maximum workout to the extreme. This class is for you.
Class Offered: M 7-8pm & F 11-12pm
Barre: Barre is a fitness hybrid workout class that combines ballet inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Most classes incorporate a ballet barre and use classic dance moves such as plies, alongside static stretches. Barre also focuses on high reps of small range movements.
Classes Offered: TTH 12:15-1pm
Water Aerobics: This low impact, high intensity aerobic class works to improve flexibility, range of motion, strength, muscle tone and cardiovascular endurance using the water as resistance. This class requires no swimming skills and can be done in both shallow and deep water.
Classes Offered: MWF 7:45-8:45am & 8:45-9:45am
Classes Offered: M 5:30-6:30pm, T & TH 6:30-7:30pm
Tabata: Take high intensity to the pool. Tabata training is a popular high-intensity interval training format consisting of 20 seconds of all-out intense work followed by 10 seconds of passive recovery, totaling 4 minutes of very strenuous exercise. If you’re looking for intensity in the water, this class is for you.
